This piece was featured in my second exhibition at The Antiquarium in Houston. For this exhibition, I wanted to encourage viewers to see framing not simply as protection for artwork, but as an extension of the artwork itself.
I paired this small edition of “Look!” with a gray-blue mat and silver frame. this combination not only brings out the subtle cool tones in this photograph, but also compliments the urban landscape.
Background: Outside a Paris Fashion Week show, anticipation builds as crowds gather to catch a glimpse of arriving guests. Rather than turning the lens toward celebrities, this photograph focuses on the spectators themselves — faces pressed against windows and a man perched on a rooftop searching for a better view. The image captures the often unseen energy surrounding fashion week: curiosity, excitement, and collective fascination.
