Camel Toes (2/10 — Small Framed Edition)

$1,026.88

Location: Giza Pyramids, Egypt
Capture Date: 9/16/23
Film Stock: Kodak Gold 200

Size: 19.75in x 25.94in | 1.65ft x 2.16ft

This piece was featured in my second exhibition at The Antiquarium in Houston. For this exhibition, I wanted to encourage viewers to see framing not simply as protection for artwork, but as an extension of the artwork itself.

A sandy-colored mat bordered with a green frame, echoing the desert and natural tones of Cairo. The green frame highlights the camels’ food, while the mat itself extends the landscape.

Background: In a landscape where the usual focal points are the Pyramids of Giza, this photograph shifts your gaze to a different subject: camel toes.
